It all started when…

Marley was born in Dallas, Texas in 1986. She spent her first 11 years in the DFW Metroplex, before moving to Spokane, Washington. Marley went to middle and high school in Spokane, which she promptly left at 18 to attend the University of Washington in Seattle.

Seattle was home for the next 18 years until spring 2022, when Marley relocated to Bentonville, Arkansas.

Marley has a background in sustainability and freight logistics, most recently working as the Environmental Manager for Expeditors International. During her tenure, Marley developed corporate sustainability practices that have saved thousands of gallons of water, diverted tons of waste from landfills, and reduced the carbon footprint for many company’s shipping operations.

Marley got into riding bikes as an adult after going through a heartbreaking divorce and finding herself frustrated with a slow bus commute. Using a bike at first to commute around Seattle, Marley quickly got into running all of her errands on bike and going on longer adventures. By the first summer with her bike, Marley was bikecamping nearly every weekend.

Marley’s size inclusion work started out of frustration with the lack of technical bike clothing available in her size. She took her experience with bike advocacy, combined her passion for size inclusion and a new endeavor was born. As her miles and participation in the bike industry increased, the need for this work became even more evident.

Marley was featured in the Shimano film “All Bodies on Bikes” which kickstarted her work into a full time option.
